Rice Assistance Program

The Provincial Government of Isabela is committed to supporting its people where it matters most—on their tables. As of May 2025, the Rice Assistance Program of the provincial government has a current total of 120,189 beneficiaries from various sectors. This initiative reflects the province’s continued commitment to addressing the needs of marginalized groups and frontline workers who play a vital role in sustaining the daily life of Isabela’s cities and municipalities.

The program provides monthly rice assistance to vulnerable sectors such as members of the Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA), persons with disabilities, fisherfolk, former rebels, kalesa operators, senior citizens, solo parents, and local transport workers.

Rice is also given monthly to employees of the provincial government and national agencies including the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). In barangays, recipients include health workers, barangay nutrition scholars, day care workers, tanods, population officers, barangay officials, and garbage collectors.

Additionally, the program supports beneficiaries of the Isabela Recovery Initiatives to Support Enterprises (I-RISE) and scholars under BRO for Education, helping ease their financial burdens. Teaching and non-teaching personnel of Isabela State University and the Department of Education – Schools Division Office of Isabela (DepEd–SDO Isabela) also receive semestral rice assistance as part of the province’s continued support for the education sector.

By providing rice to families and workers across the province, the provincial government shows it understands what truly matters: supporting the well-being of its people. This is how real care looks—practical, consistent, and focused on lifting lives.
