Sagip Mata, Sagip Buhay Program

The Provincial Government of Isabela is actively implementing the Sagip Mata, Sagip Buhay Program, a medical assistance initiative that provides essential eye care services to residents suffering from vision problems and other eye-related conditions.

Since its launch in 2018, the program has already supported 9,743 individuals with free eyeglasses and facilitated 525 successful eye surgeries. These services are prioritized for economically disadvantaged individuals who may otherwise lack access to diagnosis, treatment, or surgery.

The program is carried out in partnership with the Southern Isabela Medical Center (SIMC), a government-owned hospital under the Department of Health. Through this collaboration, patients receive quality eye care from qualified doctors, surgeons, and health workers. The provincial government and SIMC have moved forward with the agreement that formalized this partnership, ensuring smooth and sustained delivery of services.

The Sagip Mata, Sagip Buhay Program is part of a broader effort by the Provincial Government of Isabela to promote public-oriented and human-centered healthcare. It brings targeted medical assistance directly to those who need it most—improving eyesight, restoring daily function, and helping people return to work, school, and community life.

By maintaining accessible health services and continuing strong partnerships with medical institutions, the province upholds its commitment to a healthier and more inclusive Isabela.
