The province of Isabela once again emerged as a top performer in the country’s tourism arena after bagging multiple awards at the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) Pearl Awards 2025, held on October 2, 2025 in Baguio City.
Isabela was hailed as Grand Winner for Best Tourism Month Celebration, while also securing First Runner-Up for Best Tourism Event with the globally recognized Bambanti Festival.
The province likewise garnered Second Runner-Up citations for Best Practice in Sustainable Tourism and Best Practices in Community-Based Tourism, recognizing its efforts in sustainable and inclusive tourism development.
The City of Ilagan likewise received top recognitions, with City Tourism Officer Ma. Cristina R. Simon named Grand Winner for Best Tourism Officer in the Component City Category for her leadership and contributions to local tourism.
The city also placed Second Runner-Up for Best Sports Tourism Event and Best Tourism Month Celebration.
Meanwhile, the City of Cauayan brought home two major awards, namely Grand Winner for Best Souvenir and Grand Winner for Best Event Hosting (International Event), further establishing its reputation for creativity and excellence in event management.
The members of the Isabela delegation who received the awards were Sangguniang Panlalawigan Tourism Committee Chairperson Hon. Abegail Sable, Provincial Tourism Officer Joanne Maranan, City of Ilagan Vice Mayor Hon. Jay Eveson Diaz, city and municipal tourism officers, and Bambanti Festival consultant Mr. Nilo Agustin.
